Especially for detecting hidden interdental caries, caries under old fillings, and caries in hard-to-reach areas.

To diagnose inflammation around the roots of teeth (periapical inflammation), cysts, abscesses or bone inflammation.

To determine the cause of unexplained pain or increased tooth sensitivity.

To assess bone loss in patients with periodontitis and evaluate the depth of periodontal pockets.

Before root canal treatment (endodontics), tooth extraction, dental implant placement, orthodontic treatment, or prosthetic replacement (crowns, bridges).

After root canal treatment, extraction, implant placement or other surgical procedures to check the result and healing.

In children and adolescents for monitoring the eruption of permanent teeth, root development and detection of anomalies.

To diagnose fractures of teeth, roots or jaw bones.

Uncontrolled acute infections in the oral cavity (e.g., extensive abscess) or systemic infection of the body (e.g., flu with fever).

Severe uncontrolled diabetes, unstable heart disease (e.g., recent myocardial infarction, untreated hypertension) or serious blood clotting disorders.

Certain procedures (especially X-rays, invasive surgeries) are recommended to be postponed until the second trimester or after delivery, unless it is an acute condition.

Known allergies to local anesthetics, medications or materials (metals, resins) used in dental treatment.
